The Sports Surgery Clinic in Santry, one of Ireland’s leading private clinics, has recently rolled out an innovative RFID solution to manage its high-cost orthopaedic implants.
Delivered in partnership with Zehnacker, the project involves the installation of two Dyane RFID SmartCabinets in the Clinic, which will optimise and automate the ordering process for high value implants in theatre, ensuring critical products are always available in the right place at the right time.
Dyane RFID SmartCabinet technology revolutionises the supply chain planning of high value goods and provides a cost effective and easy way to automate the process of inventory management. It can also be fully integrated with the Clinic’s Hospital Information System, enabling implants to be tracked to patients directly from the cabinets and stored in the patient’s digital medical record, improving efficiency and patient safety in the event of product recalls.
Dyane RFID SmartCabinets have been successfully installed in healthcare facilities across Europe, in areas of trauma, cardiac surgery, cardiology and ophthalmology where they now provide significant benefits to users and patients by automating processes, driving efficiencies, improving patient safety and delivering detailed analytics up and down the supply chain.
